This advanced Master’s degree is designed to develop high-level competencies in the design and development of software systems that integrate artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and immersive technologies such as Extended Reality (XR), metaverses and advanced user interfaces. This curriculum has been designed to meet the growing needs of the European market for highly qualified professionals capable of working in the design and development of collaborative virtual environments, serious (applied) games and the social applications of XR technologies, providing organized academic support that ensures both accessibility and student success.
Introduction to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence applied to XR, exploring intelligent agents, machine learning, perceptual models and adaptation processes in immersive systems.
Course focused on the principles of Human-Computer Interaction, usability and user-centered design in immersive contexts and AI-driven systems.
Comprehensive introduction to the technical and perceptual fundamentals of VR/AR and its main professional and industrial applications.
Fundamentals of 2D/3D graphics, rendering and modeling pipelines for real-time asset creation and XR.
Analysis of the XR hardware architecture: optics, tracking, controllers, haptics and energy efficiency.
Design of real-time simulations using physics engines, exploring realism, numerical stability and performance.
It examines vulnerabilities, risks, and security strategies specific to XR systems, including privacy and biometrics.
Design of multiplayer experiences, metaverses and collaborative spaces through principles of motivation and co-creation.
Development of research skills, critical review, scientific methods and preparation of the Master’s Thesis.
Study of models of innovation, ethics, privacy and European regulation applied to XR and AI.
Exploration of MR systems and multimodal interaction: gestures, gaze, voice, haptics and embodied design.
