In the coming days, EUNEIZ University will host a training session aimed at composers interested in creating music for the audiovisual sector. Under the title “Introduction to Film Music”, Paula Olaz, a cum laude graduate from Berklee College of Music, will explore the key elements currently influencing music composition for audiovisual media.
The training program, taking place from November 10 to 13 at EUNEIZ University, is organized by the SGAE Foundation and Musika Bulegoa. It aims to delve into essential aspects of professional film composition, such as musical analysis and its application, workflow in audiovisual projects, and the use of Digital Performer (DAW) as a production tool. The course also includes a final practical session, where participants will apply the knowledge acquired during the first three days.
In addition to the educational value of the course, the experience and career of Pamplona-born composer Paula Olaz stand out. Specializing in original soundtracks for film, television, theater, dance, and video games, her work is known for blending artistic creativity with scientific research, positioning her as one of the most promising emerging figures in Spanish film music.
Paula Olaz has composed original music for over 20 feature films, establishing herself as one of the most active composers in contemporary Spanish cinema. Her most notable works include Raqa (Gerardo Herrero), El bus de la Vida (Ibón Cormenzana), Verano en Rojo (Belén Macías), Alguien que cuide de mí (Elvira Lindo and Daniela Féjerman), Las Buenas Compañías (Silvia Munt), Bajo Terapia (Gerardo Herrero), Nora (Lara Izagirre), La Cima (Ibón Cormenzana), and Crónica de una tormenta (Mariana Barassi).
She has also expanded her work to television, composing music for series such as El Clan Olimpia (Disney+ original series) and La Frontera (Amazon Prime), showcasing her versatility across different audiovisual formats.
