EUNEIZ University this week hosted the 1st Training and Teaching Innovation Conference to address the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the classroom. Over two sessions, teachers from the Health and New Interactive Technologies faculties attended this training seminar where they shared their knowledge and experiences with the aim of enriching the EUNEIZ model.
The conference began on Tuesday with the workshop “Large Language Model in the Classroom. How generative AI is transforming education and improving teaching practice”, by Miguel Velasco López, an expert in Information Systems Management. During the session, the transformation of higher education through the use of AI as a tool to support teaching was discussed. In this context, issues related to the automation of administrative tasks, content creation, translations or data security, among others, were discussed. This is all aimed at integrating generative AI in an ethical and positive way for our students.
Using “academic capsules”, the second session of the conference created open spaces for discussion and reflection on methodological and practical issues in EUNEIZ teaching that have allowed us to strengthen our educational community and to continue working on the innovation of our academic activity.
